Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can increase the power of a piece of equipment and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrade is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations can be applied.
The racial Shield elite Razortail for instance, is frequently upgraded to enhance its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the unupgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll a purchased item like an armor, weapon, or ring. This replaces the item with an identical item, but with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. However, they don't keep the same level as the original item and any resources wasted aren't refunded.
The survivors can get Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in crates and chests, or purchase them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of an item of equipment such as increasing its damage.
Players can reroll their equipment into three categories three categories: physical power, magic power, and health. Upgrades to physical power increase damage from weapons and melee attack while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give the player an additional amount of health.
There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a higher quality. To create them, you'll need a higher level reroll token. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
In contrast to other special tokens and markers placed on Action spaces the reroll marker stays in the space until the next successful result is rerolled. This is a way to prevent the waste of upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the start of each preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by grasping them. Once they are open they show a complete description and icon of the relevant appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's store will swap blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.
During the course of an event, blueprints may be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool as a result of the choice of Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop can offer for rerolls and those that are in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones which increase the level of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. To upgrade gear, players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click the "level up" button. The menu will appear showing the item's current level and what it will be when being upgraded as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to do so. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires one Growth Stone.
Once they have decided on the upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. When the requirements have been met, the player can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item's level by a certain percentage. Depending on the item's rarity the upgrade process can be as quick as a few seconds to minutes.

Certain items benefit from being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but more for the fact that it lets players get the maximum amount of value out of a perfect roll on the item.
